1.) Joint Entrance Examination (Main) (JEE Main)
About JEE Main 2020
National Testing Agency will conduct JEE Main 2020 on July 18, 20, 21, 22 and 23. Previously, the exam was postponed due to the outbreak of COVID-19. NTA has now closed the application form correction facility along with exam centre change facility on May 3. The computer based test will be conducted for two papers – JEE Main Paper 1 for B.Tech/ B.E and Paper 2 for B.Arch/ B.Planning. The application form was released on February 7 and the last date to complete the JEE Main registration was March 12, 2020. The authorities will release the admit card of JEE Main 2020 in online mode. JEE Main 2020 result will be announced in online mode and will be valid for the current admission year only. JEE Main ranks will be used for admissions to UG engineering programmes offered by 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 28 CFTIs in addition to admission in states like Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Bihar, Jharkhand and Nagaland and many other private universities and institutes.
NTA JEE Main is held twice a year in January and May. Candidates can appear for both and the better of the two scores will be considered for ranking purposes. About 8,69,010 candidates appeared for the January session of JEE Main which was held from January 6 to 9 in 570 exam centres. 9 students scored 100 percentile as per the JEE Main result (January) for Paper I which was declared on January 17. The result for Paper 2 was announced on January 23.
What is JEE Main?
Joint Entrance Exam Main is the national level computer based test that is held by the National Testing Agency for the purpose of admissions to the undergraduate engineering courses in National Institutes of Technology, IIITs and the Govt funded Technical Institutes. In addition, it is also the screening cum qualifier test for JEE Advanced. The test is held twice in a year and validity of the result is one year.
2.) Joint Entrance Exam Advanced (JEE Advanced)
About JEE Advanced 2020
IIT Delhi will now conduct JEE Advanced 2020 on August 23 as announced by HRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ which was postponed due to COVID-19. JEE Advanced is the exam for admissions to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the 23 IITs of the country. Students who qualify JEE Main and is in top 2,50,000 candidates in order of merit becomes eligible for appearing in JEE Advanced. The exam is conducted by the seven Zonal Coordinating IITs namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). The application forms of JEE Advanced 2020 will be available in online mode. The entrance test is held in two shifts (9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm) as computer based test. The exam has two mandatory papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2 formulated from syllabus released by the JEE Advanced authorities. JEE Advanced admit card 2020 will be available for all the registered candidates. The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) was to be held on June 12, 2020 while the results for the same was scheduled to be announced on June 16. Admissions are through counselling conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority also known as JoSAA.

3.) West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (WBJEE)
About WBJEE 2020
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board conducts WBJEE for admission in B.Tech and other professional undergraduate courses. The state offers 31, 769 seats in 86 engineering colleges (excluding B.Arch and Pharmacy courses) The authorities have released the OMR images and machine read responses on February 20. Candidates who are not satisfied with the responses can raise objections till February 22 (11.59 PM). Earlier, the authorities have released the WBJEE answer key 2020 on February 17 which was open for challenge till February 19. The authorities had conducted WBJEE 2020 in offline mode on February 2 in 60 cities of West Bengal as well in Assam and Tripura. The WBJEE 2020 exam had two papers, Paper-I (Mathematics) and Paper-II (Physics & Chemistry-combined). Candidates had to appear and qualify in both papers for admission in Engineering, Technology courses in West Bengal. Candidates seeking admission in Pharmacy courses had to appear in Biology part instead of Mathematics. The admit card for appearing in WBJEE 2020 was released on January 24, 2020 in online mode. The application form of WBJEE 2020 was available in online mode from October 18 to November 13, 2019.
WBJEE result has not been announced by the board but is likely to be released in one month after exam. Counselling of WBJEE will be held tentatively in June 2020 based on the scores obtained by students and the state ranks awarded on the basis of merit. Students seeking admission in B.Arch courses have to appear in NATA 2020 while medical admissions are through NEET UG 2020.
